Monday Cleaning Tip: Dusting.

My favourite duster is the below 1.

The dusters are disposable.

I have found a cheaper, but just as good duster at Bunnings. Glitz 5 pk.

Did You Know?

Many people do not dust their door frames, tops of doors or ceiling fan blades.

These retain dust which leads to health issues.

Regular dusting of all areas of a home, helps reduce the health risks.

I even dust Laundries, Bathrooms, Lavatories.

You can dust inside your car, boat, caravan, anywhere dust settles.

Added Tip:

Wiping down these surfaces with an anti bacterial cloth, provides added protection.

Coles brand 100 pk does an amazing job.

To remove cobwebs or dust high areas, use a long handled broom. Please ensure someone is there for safety.

I also suggest wearing PPE

Protective

Equipment.

Safety First Always.

Hope this has helped you all.

Cancer Sux.

Wilma Fay Jensen 18/09/1939- 30/07/1991.

As I write this, I’m crying thinking about my mum.

30 years ago today, I lost her to Bowel Cancer.

Because of my sister, I feel mum died earlier than she should have.

During mums time in hospital, in Sydney, I was unable to visit.

As my parents owned a Mixed Business in North West NSW.

When mum was released, she spent much of her time in our upstairs flat.

It was hard watching her go through this as she had previously been an active person.

I had no one to support me.

As I was male, was not allowed to show my emotions, and bottled them up.

My last conversation with mum was hours before she died.

Driving back, I had to stop and let loose my emotions, because I knew it was the last time I would see her alive.

Dad never knew, I’m aware.

My grandmother paid for the funeral, as such, mum is buried near her father.

Please, if anyone has any symptons, get checked out immediately.

Life is too short to allow these awful diseases to take control of us.

Getting checked out early and having regular tests, hopefully can prolong your life.

Pic is last taken with all 3 of us, at my 21st, in 1986, yes that is my ugle mug in the middle

🏥🚑🏥🚑🏥🚑🏥🚑 Virtual Emergency Department.

How many of you call an ambulance when you feel sick?

Before COVID, many did, even I did.

However, here in Victoria, Australia, a new system was put in place to help take the strain off our Paramedics and In Person Emergency Departments.

I have used the Virtual ED several times and has saved me from unneccessary journeys and waiting too.

My advice to all Victorians, unless it is a Life Threatening Emergency, I recommend contacting Virtual ED, who will advise you.

Link below:

https://www.vved.org.au/

Of course, if you are out and about, go to your nearest Emergency Department, but if you are at home, and able to, use VVED.

Please be advised, I have not, nor will, receive any payment for this blog, I am just hoping to educate you winners.

I recently heard there was a long wait for Ambulances here in Victoria, some patients were taken to hospital by taxi, at AV expense.

I’d like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land on which we meet today. I would also like to pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Disclaimer: As usual, what is written below is my own personal opinion, and may vary from yours. It doesn’t mean to say that either is correct or incorrect, that’s what makes us all Humans.

“YOU ARE A WORTHY,SUCCESSFUL, VALUED WINNER, DESERVING TO LIVE A HAPPY, HEALTHY, SAFE, REWARDING, STREE FREE LIFE.”

Over the years, many people have treated me like dirt, both males and females.

I feel because I’m seen as weak, however, just because someone does not fit the perfect mould created in someone’s mind, does not mean they are any less deserving of living a happy life.

In 1981, I had just turned 16. I was accused of touching the breast of a fellow student. I still say I didn’t, unless it was an accident, whereby I was pushed into her by someone else.

Despite my pleas of innocence, I copped 12 on each hand. Yes, 1981, the cane was still in use.

This girls friends decided my punishment was not severe enough and decided to take revenge on me.

To read more of what happened, I invite you all to grab a FREE copy of “Mark’s Tragic Life,”.

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1130460

Recently, where I live, it had been raining.

I alighted from the train and was running to catch a bus.

However, the concrete was wet, resulting in me slipping over, hurting my right hand, arm, and butt.

I heard laughing, however, got up and hobbled to the bus stop, arriving just as the bus did.

At the time of writing this, 4 days later, I’m still in pain, however, slowly recovering.

I love Social Media and many times, I’ve watched Dash Cam footage where a motorist has been impatient, sometimes, it pays off, others, has ended not so well, which is their Karma.

To everyone reading this:

I plead with you all to take care no matter what you are doing.

We all deserve to arrive to our destination safely.

We are all responsible for our own Safety & those around us too.

When out in Public, everything is there to share, unless it’s your personal motor vehicle, or other items you personally own.

Examples of what we share:

Roads, Footpaths, Shopping Trollies, Seats on Public Transport, Public Bathrooms, Food Court Seating & Tables, Workplace Shared Areas.

If more people started slowing down and being patient, the less chance of accidents occurring.

I also suggest being Polite to others when out and about, because:

KARMA CAN BE CRUEL.

For those of you wondering, the reason why we are requesting investors from every day winners:

WE WANT TO SEE YOU ALL SUCCEED FINANCIALLY, WITHIN 5-10 YEARS.

If more businesses sought funding from every day winners, instead of greedy financial institutions, they may survive and be able to give back to their investors.

In my opinion:

GREED SUX HUGE.

To everyone reading this, if you do not have a Long Term Financial Plan in Place, then please do not start complaining about your situation, because everyone is capable of UNTOLD WEALTH.

Superannuation

This post is for Australia, however I recommend checking about your Pension too.

Here in Australia, Emoloyers are required to pay a certain percentage of our wages into our Super accounts.

However, did you know?

Employees can also contribute up to a maximum of $25,000 per fiscal year, before you start paying higher Income Tax.

However, if you have not contributed previously, last 4 years, you may be able to contribute more without being penalised.

If you have a my.gov.au account with ATO linked, I highly recommend how much you are able to contribute.

Amount varies between people.

I highly recommend seeking a side business to top up your super.

Much Thanks, Winners.

Sunday Cleaning Tip: Mattress.

Did you know? Our mattresses contain bacteria that can hurt us.
However, there is a way to eliminate, or at least reduce them.

First up: Remove sheets and blankets.

Step 1: Vacuum thoroughly.

Step 2: Grab steam mop, with a clean pad, then steam mop, just light slow moves.

Allow an hour to dry.
After an hour, flip mattress & repeat steps 1 & 2.
Allow to dry.

After  an hour, repeat.

I find 4 steams helps, this may take several weeks to fully eliminate the bacteria.

I suggest this, upon purchasing a new mattress, perform a steam mop, as it will eliminate a lot of the factory, transport, warehouse odours.

If your mattress is heavy, please get help.

SAFETY FIRST

Thank You for reading these tips this week.

Saturday Cleaning Tip: Bathrooms/Lavatories.

Update: To scrub floors, use a mixture of vinegar and water in a spray bottle.

Most people think using an exhaust fan will remove steam.
They remove most surface steam.
Best way to ensure all moisture has gone, is open windows for a few hours.
This will allow the bathroom to fully clear.

Upon arrival back, grab the items mentioned yesterday.
For safety, please wear disposable gloves.
I start with vanity mirror.

Then use anti bacterial wipes, wiping down the surfaces, including taps/faucet/s & outer side of vanity, discard.

Grab a blue cloth & wipe over, removing residue. Then grab a microfibre and remove streaks, this should shine them.

Next, if you have a bath, spray the bath with an environmentally friendly product, then grab a scrubbing brush and scrub the bath, then the taps/faucet/s, grab the wipes and wipe over the bath. Continue until completely wiped over. Grab microfibre, same.

Then moving onto shower.

Spray the shower screen, grab your scrubbing brush and scrub the shower screens. Grab a blue cloth and wipe over, followed by a microfibre cloth.

Next spray the taps/faucet and wipe with a blue cloth and microfibre.

Next, spray the floor, in sections, scrub the tiles until all scum removed, move onto the next section. Once completed, use the shower head to remove the residue, if any scum left, repeat, until all scum removed.

Once finished, vacuum bathroom.

Grab spray mop, place a red microfibre pad. In the water bottle, 3/4 fill with clean, filtered water, then fill with disinfectant. Place in holder, then mop bathroom.

W/C: Grab toilet brush & clean inside. Then pour some cleaner in bowl. Then use an antibacterial wipe, wipe top of seat, then cistern, under seat, outside of bowl.
Wipe over with a blue cloth only, discard.
Mop W/C, ensure a red pad.

Once floors dry, you can steam mop both areas. Please don’t use carpet glider, (triangle plastic), as it will scratch the tiles.

Once completed, wash cloths, spray mop pads & steam mop pads, separate from normal clothes. I usually add 2 capfuls of disinfectant. I also conduct an empty clean, by pouring some disinfectant into drum.

Tomorrow: Mattress.
