DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

I’d like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land on which we meet today. I would also like to pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Disclaimer: As usual, what is written below is my own personal opinion, and may vary from yours. It doesn’t mean to say that either is correct or incorrect, that’s what makes us all Humans.

First up, if anyone feels traumatised by this blog, you are welcome to skip it.

I apologise to anyone affected by this.

The reason why I’ve written it is because I’m sick of hearing about lives being taken too early, due to violent acts.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR ASSAULTING ANYONE ANYTIME, NO MATTER WHAT.

Too many people use stress, alcohol, financial, or other reasons, but as I said, there is no excuse.

Anyone who assaults anyone, should be gaoled for at least 25 years in maximum security, without any visitation rights either, and pay all the costs associated with their imprisonment.

I’ve never been the victim of Domestic Violence, however, have known people who have been.

Honestly, no one is owned by anyone else, no matter the situation, despite what others may say.

When someone says NO, they mean No.

I’m sick of people not accepting no as answer.

As we are now in 2023, I would like ask this:

Treat everyone how you want to be treated, but also be respectful of others, whether human beings or animals.

We all have feelings and deserve the chance to live Happy, Safe, Healthy, Legal Lives.

I also ask this too:

Accept everybody for who they are, not what YOU WANT them to be.

We are all:

UNIQUE,

INDIVIDUAL,

QUIRKY,

WINNERS.

Just because someone does not fit your mould, does not mean they are any less deserving to live a happy, stress free, fulfilling, safe life.

Respect means not saying anything derogatory to anyone.

Please remember, how do YOU want to be treated?

I want to also say this:

Because my trust has been breached in the past, I now demand written, signed agreements in order to allow each person to know what is and what is NOT accepted in the Friendship, Relationship, Business Agreement, whichever applies.

This agreement may possibly be used in legal proceedings.

Finally:

I WILL REPEAT THIS:

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR ASSAULTING ANYONE, INCLUDING ANY TYPE OF ABUSE EITHER.

Please if you are the victim of Domestic Violence, I urge you to seek help, because your life is

VALUABLE & WORTHY.
