The following is my own personal opinion.
I’ve found that many parents will not accept that their offspring have grown up.
Once someone reaches 16, they should be allowed to start making their own decisions, whether good or bad, but that’s how we learn.
I’ve also found that many parents will lie, to manipulate their offspring, sometimes to guilt them too.
Please don’t get me wrong: Its nice, but sometimes, being overprotective, can smother or restrict an offspring, and they will rebel.
I’ve seen it happen.
Now, I’ve never been lucky enough to become a parent, that choice was taken away when I was 16.
But, as an outsider, looking in, I have seen too many offspring become shy, withdrawn and frightened to do anything against their parents wishes.
I was the same way growing up.
My father controlled me right up until he died. I was 46.
My father stopped me from being happy.
Parents think they are acting in their offsprings best interests,
You know what,
No, they are selfish and acting in
THEIR PERCIEVED best interests, because they don’t trust their offspring making the correct decisions.
Too many Parents are Control Freaks, Snobbish and should listen to their offspring.
And accept them for who they truly are, not some sort of “Mini Me” version.
I know many of you will get angry and upset with me, because of this post, but I don’t care, because what is written above, is from my personal observations over the years.
I failed my parents, but worst of all, Failed the only person who counts in MY existence
Finally: Please Let Them Beeeeeeeeeeee
